Josué Comoe, originally from Côte d’Ivoire and based in Paris, migrated to France early in life.
He studied photography and video at École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs but found his voice in self-taught painting and drawing.

His art challenges historical dichotomies of light and darkness, material and spirit, by envisioning the body in ways that merge metaphysical and political realms.
