Title of the Art work: The Flight of Identities Tomorrow is not a distant destination; it is a flight we are preparing for, here and now. In this work, my hands become a cradle for a rising Africa. From this protective hollow, a multitude of origami birds escape, symbolizing our thoughts, our projects, and our hopes. Each bird is unique, adorned with patterns that tell the story of our rich diversity: here a Bogolan line, there an Adinkra symbol or ancient calligraphy. I chose the precision of the ballpoint pen to illustrate this fundamental contrast: the raw, realistic strength of working hands, set against the geometric lightness of our dreams coming to life. This work is a tribute to African plurality. It affirms that our future will only be powerful if it agrees to take flight with all its colors, all its languages, and all its cultures. Because tomorrow is in our hands, and together, we give it wings.”
